ScalaBros
A company that turns crises into opportunities
Founded in 2008, in the midst of the Subprime crisis, Scalabros was born from the intuition and determination of brothers Giovanni and Benedetto Scalabrini.
Their passion for languages, travel and international culture took shape in a representation company that connected the best European manufacturers of components for buses, trains and special vehicles with builders all over the world.
From the very beginning, Scalabros’ strength has always been its ability to never stop in front of change, but to transform it into a driver for growth.
SPARTACOS
From trade to production: the Spartacos division is born
In 2012, during the Sovereign Debt crisis, Scalabros made its first real evolutionary leap: from a representation company to a direct manufacturer of sun blinds and emergency hatches for buses.
This is how the SPARTACOS brand was born—synonymous with tailor-made engineering, functional design and genuine Made in Italy production.
Thanks to a cohesive and skilled team, an in-house R&D department and ISO 9001 certification, the company grew rapidly with a constant development rate of 20% per year until 2020, becoming a benchmark in Europe and in the EMEA market.
2020
Innovation even in emergencies
When the pandemic hit, the transport sector came to a halt.
But Scalabros never stops: in 2020 the company converted part of its production to respond to the health emergency, becoming one of the first Italian manufacturers of surgical masks and protective gowns for medical staff.
A concrete example of industrial resilience and rapid reaction capacity that further strengthened the company’s reliability and reputation.
2021
Sustainability and technological research
In 2021, after the medical-device phase came to an end, Scalabros returned to the production of its classic components—but with a broader vision.
A parallel project dedicated to sustainability and circular economy was launched: a fully digitalized urban-farming system developed in-house, transforming decommissioned containers into modular automated greenhouses for low-impact vegetable and mushroom cultivation.
An initiative that fully reflects the company’s core values of innovation, environmental responsibility and functional industrial design.
2021
Scalabros North America Inc. is founded
Also in 2021, Scalabros opened a new subsidiary in the United States: Scalabros North America Inc.
The US branch manages the distribution of sun blinds and emergency hatches for buses and passenger transport vehicles in the North American market, strengthening the company’s international presence.
2023
New product lines and application sectors
In 2023, the range expanded further with the production of pleated blinds and mosquito screens for recreational vehicles, designed and manufactured internally using high quality materials and patented solutions.
Today, Scalabros designs and manufactures technical components for:
- Buses and minibuses
- Industrial and agricultural vehicles
- Motorhomes and recreational vehicles
- Marine and railway applications
Every product is the result of a customized design process where mechanical expertise and technological research combine to ensure high performance, lightweight structure and safety.
A team growing with the same vision
Today, Scalabros has more than 25 professionals, including designers, technicians and production personnel.
The shared philosophy is clear:
“To win the competition, collaboration is essential.”
We work synergistically, with complementary roles ranging from mechanical design to quality control, from technical marketing to customer care.
Every project is followed step by step—from concept to final testing—to ensure precision, reliability and production flexibility.

Since the beginning, Scalabros has understood that succeeding in increasingly global and competitive markets requires more than high-quality products or competitive prices: it requires vision, knowledge and the ability to communicate internationally.
Years of collaboration with partners from different countries have taught us that the true value of a company lies in its ability to understand different cultures and markets, adapting with flexibility and professionalism.
This open-minded and multilingual approach, combined with strong technical foundations, has enabled us to grow even in the most complex moments of the industry, facing increasingly fierce global competition.
Our cosmopolitan spirit and adaptability have always been an integral part of the way we approach every project, every customer, every innovation.
Today, the same philosophy guides our manufacturing activity.
Every Scalabros component is created through a balance of customer listening, technological research and enhancement of Italian craftsmanship.
We believe in collaborative design, where expertise and creativity merge to generate tailor-made technical solutions that are sustainable and reliable.
Our cohesive, experienced team works every day with an open, multidisciplinary and innovation-oriented approach, transforming customer needs into concrete, high-performance products.
This method has led us, in just a few years, to file several patents, collaborate with internationally renowned brands and receive the 2012 Research and Innovation Award from the Bologna Chamber of Commerce.
Innovation, Made in Italy and a forward-looking vision
At Scalabros, innovating means listening, designing and continuously improving.
This spirit drives us to look ahead while maintaining the strength of our roots and the excellence of Italian industrial design.
After more than 15 years of activity, Scalabros continues to evolve while preserving its identity as an innovative and independent Italian company, capable of designing, manufacturing and customizing components for the mobility of the future.
Every stage of the process—from material research to production—takes place in Italy, with constant attention to certified quality, safety and comfort.
Thanks to this philosophy, Scalabros enters 2025 with the same strength as always: the strength of those who design change, every single day.
